In July of 2005, my fella and I decided to get the hell outta Dodge and take a roadtrip out east. We deicded on two main destinations: Gettysburg, PA, the sight of the bloodiest battle of the American Civil War and, because I'm a huge Civil War nerd, a sight of great interest to me. The second destination was Ithaca, NY, because Nick (my fella) had spent the previous summer in the city helping on the set of an independent film and because he knew two very cool cats who lived there and would soon be moving away. So we readied the motorcoach, stocked up on supplies, scouted our route, sent up a prayer to the gods of travel and set out. Remarkably, we completed the entire trip without 1) car problems, 2) fights, or 3) major injury. All-in-all, I'd call that a success. I, of course, took it upon myself to snap some photos along the way. What you're about to browse through (assuming I haven't frightened you off yet) are the collected efforts of my delusions of photographer glory. I've provided some very witty and entertaining (cough) commentary for your reading pleasure, and to keep you abreast of what exactly the pictures are of. So, without any further adieu, click the right arrow button below and begin the grand adventure! |
