Emily Mills :: Vitals & Goods of Trade

current projects

Aporia :: acoustic rock hooligans!
I hit things with sticks and holler loudly for this band. At the moment, we're mostly playing around Madison, WI but have plans to conquer the vast wastelands of the Midwest some day. You can visit our website to listen to songs, ogle photographs & videos and get ordering information for our albums. We also, like everybody else on the planet, have a MySpace page.

DJ Xenophile :: Mistress of Techno & Raging Weirdo
This is my DJ/producer alter-ego(ist) and generally a really fucking fun project. She too enjoys her own website and obligatory MySpace page, respectively. Collaborators include the guitarist and the bassist from Aporia. In the future, there will be even more guest artists, but for now it's primarily a one-woman show.

The Buffali :: Gig drummer
I've been rocking with this awesome Madison-based duo and playing live shows with them in places like the Twin Cities and of course Madison, so keep your eyes and ears peeled. Check out their website for details.

past projects

MILK :: the silliest punk band in the land ('95-97)
My very first honest-to-goodness band, this group consisted of me and my two best friends waaaay back in middle school. Not half bad, if I do say (totally objectively) myself. Consider it decent lo-fi...but tons o' fun! The following songs are from our album, "Non-Alcoholic White Liquid," recorded in the bassists' basement with a 4-track recorder back in 1996:
The Lengthy Guy
Jimmy's Voyage Away From Home
45 Dumb Blonde Clowns
Moo
I Wanna Be Italian
Udders
The Song That Does't End*
Hidden Track 1
Hidden Track 2

Early Techno Attempts :: 2003 B.C.E.
As the name suggests, these are some of my earlier attempts at mixing electronic music. At the time I only had very rudimentary tools, though, so beware.
"Never Been To Me" (an Ab Fab homage)
"Monkeys and Children" (Space Ghost/Buffy homage)
"The Wisdom of Gabrielle" (Xena nuttiness)
"Nothing To Me (Shifting Paradigms Remix)" (a remix of an Aporia song)

Calling all former/current friends! If you happen to be the lucky owner of a cassette tape by the group TNF called "Tripping On Ice," please drop me a line ASAP! I seem to have misplaced my copy and am desperate to find one. You know who you are!
